Leading French companies in environment sector to visit Delhi and Chennai from 7 to 10 March 2011

For the first time a seminar on environment was organized by the French Trade Commission in India which was held in New Delhi on 7th & 8th March and in Chennai on 9th & 10th March 2011, bringing together a delegation of 13 leading French companies in the field of environment. These companies are looking forward to share their expertise and evaluate business opportunities in the Indian environment sector.

The seminar opened in New Delhi and included presentations by reputed organizations such as the Central Pollution Board of India, the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank. This seminar continued in Chennai where the delegates had a meeting Exnora, an NGO founded in 1989 with the mission to improve and preserve the environment and mobilize local communities for its protection. A networking dinner was also organized in collaboration with CII.

The French presence included companies such as ARIA TECHNOLOGIES, DELTA NEU SAS, CLUB ADEME INTERNATIONAL, ISEO-ENVIRONNEMENT SA, L’EAU PURE INTERNATIONAL, LFP GROUP, SAFEGE, SOCIETE DU CANAL DE PROVENCE, WATERCYCLE, G2C ENVIRONNEMENT, McPHY ENERGY, INTERNAT ENERGY SOLUTIONS CANADA and IFP ENERGIES NOUVELLES who  presented their know how on key environmental issues such as: air pollution, water treatment, hydrogen storage and renewable energy and energy efficiency. These interactive sessions were followed by B2B meetings with potential Indian partners.

Given the emphasis on rapid developments in the environment sector, these French companies are committed to identify new opportunities in the Indian market and open new dimensions in the sphere of providing innovative technological solutions in the environment sector. This event is sure to generate strategic Indo-French business partnerships in the near future.
